March 2018 - Pune
April 2018 - Maharashtra
INORA, the Institute of Natural Organic Agriculture is based in Pune and works with farmers to improve the fertility and quality of their soil through organic means. They develop organic pesticides, fertilisers and composting methods at their R&D centre in the Maharashtrian countryside.
I took a trip to visit some of the farmers they work with, and had a wonderful morning being shown around their organic farms getting very muddy feet in the wonderfully healthy soil. From there we went on to their vermicompost site at the R&D centre and later visited some apartment complexes that are running their own composting projects with INORA's assistance.
